Gifts in Action
Annual gifts make a difference in every academic department by providing funding for:
- Merit, diversity and need-based scholarships
- Updated classroom technology that give students a competitive edge in the workplace and their internships
- Hands-on learning experiences that enable students to apply their knowledge in a real-world setting while making a difference in the community
- Student research opportunities that resonate with employers and graduate schools
- Study abroad and cultural experiences that prepare students for a global market
It’s UNCW Calling!
The Office of Annual Giving recently kicked-off the phonathon program for the 2012-2013 academic year. Alumni and parents will soon receive a call from a current UNCW student wanting to update you on university-related news and events and give you the opportunity to participate in this year’s Annual Fund.
Our students love serving as ambassadors for the university, and we hope you’ll take the time to answer their call.
Too busy to talk? Make your gift online today at www.uncw.edu/giveonline and help us better allocate our phone call efforts.

Student callers earn commission on the gifts and pledges they secure during phonathon calls.
This is fiction. UNCW takes great pride in the students that are hired and trained to connect with our alumni, parents and friends. Students are motivated to work at the UNCW Call Center because it offers great pay, tuition assistance, an on-campus work location, and scheduling flexibility. Most importantly, it gives students an opportunity to help make an impact through their work and gain valuable experience. Student callers do not receive commission.
